UEC joins ELS

It is with great pleasure that we announce the merger of Universal English College with ELS Educational Services.  From 1 July 2011 we will be known as ELS Universal English College. This means that our long and fruitful collaboration with Global Village will come to an end.

We will be launching our new corporate identity in early September to coincide with our relocation to newly refurbished premises in O’Connell Street in the Sydney CBD.

There are many positive aspects to this merger.  ELS and UEC share very similar values and over the years have enjoyed excellent reputations for preparing students to further their educations and careers.

UEC also shares ELS’s commitment to developing and retaining loyal long term staff which was one of the many crucial factors in the decision to merge.

It will be business as usual in Sydney.  We will continue to offer the same courses and services that you have come to know and expect.  In the long term the merger with ELS will provide great opportunities for expansion and professional development in Australia.  All the staff here are excited about this new development and the opportunities it will generate.

Please feel free to contact us with any questions or comments you may have.

We have moved!

After 15 years at 222 Pitt Street we have relocated to a beautiful new spacious campus in O'Connell Street right in the heart of Sydney City.

The new campus has the following features:

  • 5 minutes’ walk from Sydney Harbour
  • Two whole floors (the 1st and 2nd) with our own entrance.
  • It is very well placed for travel to different parts of Sydney between three major underground stations (Martin Place, Wynyard and Circular Quay) and close to all important bus routes
  • The area has a great variety of cafes and eating places
  • The State Library and the Royal Botanic Gardens are 5 minutes away
  • Brand new internal fit out with larger classrooms
  • The excellent facilities that you expect from us

We are all really excited with this move.  Pitt Street has been a great home for us over the years but we know O’Connell Street will be even better.
