As the main event of Crave Sydney Food Festival, the Night Noodle Markets are back in Sydney for 2010! Lose yourself in fairy lights and yummy noodles as the night comes to life in Hyde Park.

This Asian-inspired market brings you 3 dozen stalls packed with authentic (and delicious!) Asian food, entertainment and an awesome buzzing atmosphere. I do not know anyone who does not love this annual event – you’ll love it too!

The Noodle Night Markets will be on October 11-15 and 18-22 5pm-9.30pm Weeknights.

This is a free event. All you pay for is the food you eat – and the prices are very reasonable. Go and eat! You will be ... Read More »

Day light saving time

It’s that time of year again. I ABSOLUTELY love daylight saving time. It means the weather is warmer, the days seem longer and there is always a slight buzz in the air.

Daylight saving will start in New South Wales on Sunday 3 October 2010 at 2:00 am, when clocks will be put forward one hour. So at 2am, change the time to 3am.

Don’t forget to put your clock forward, if you do forget, you will be late for school on Tuesday!

Free Rice

We posted a blog about this great website a couple of years ago, but I think we need to do it again because the website and the cause is still going strong!

What is it? It is an online game where you can improve your grammar and vocabulary by answering questions AND save the world at the same time.

There are a few subjects to choose from, including art, geography and mathematics but we think the English grammar & vocabulary are best! I wonder why…?

How does it work? For every question you answer correctly, United Nations World Food Program will donate 10 grains of rice to starvin ... Read More »

It's picnic time!

Welcome to Spring in Sydney! The wait for warmer weather is over, FINALLY! There is still a slight chill in the air, but if we ignore it for long enough, it might just go away.

Plastiki!

What is Plastiki you say? It is a boat made out of 12,000 recycled plastic bottles. Yes that’s right, an actual boat on water. It is life size and it is has just made its maiden voyage from San Francisco to Sydney. And you can see it right now!

You'll be able to visit the Plastiki at Darling Harbour by the Australian National Maritime Museum up until August the 25th 2010.

The aim of the creation of the vessel is to highlight the waste and pollution of the world and how much of an impact it is having on our planet.
