Movember!
“Movember? What is that?” No, I have not misspelled ‘November’. Movember is a special event held every November in Australia and around the world. The boys stop shaving and grow their Moustaches (and the girls laugh at them) to raise money and awareness for men’s health. Guys who grow their moustaches for Movember are called “Mo Bros” and the ladies who support them are called “Mo Sistas”.
Not only is this month of Movember a lot of fun, it is also for a great cause. For details on the event please see the official Movember website here: www.movember.com.

Newtown Festival 2010
By now you probably already know that Newtown is the Bohemian capital of Sydney. There is always something hip and happening in Newtown and the residents are warm, friendly and slightly odd (In a good way). I absolutely love spending time there!
The Newtown Festival is on this Sunday 14 November 2010; 9:30am - 5:30pm @ The Camperdown Rest Park – See map below. The festival is so easy to get to – right near the strain station. It will take about 15 mins from Town Hall Station. Take the inner west train (CityRail) on platform 1 to Newtown. For timetables p ...

Day light saving time
It’s that time of year again. I ABSOLUTELY love daylight saving time. It means the weather is warmer, the days seem longer and there is always a slight buzz in the air.
Daylight saving will start in New South Wales on Sunday 3 October 2010 at 2:00 am, when clocks will be put forward one hour. So at 2am, change the time to 3am.
Don’t forget to put your clock forward, if you do forget, you will be late for school on Tuesday!
If you don't believe me, see this website: www.lawlink.nsw.gov.au/lawlink/cru/ll_cru.nsf/pages/cru_daylightsaving
