FREE stuff to do on Australia Day
There is no school on Thursday because of the Australia Day public holiday. Make the most of all the free entertainment and enjoy celebrating with us. Take your camera along too because next week we will launch our ELS Sydney Summer Photo competition. Australia Day will present lots of great opportunities for fantastic photos.

Victoria Park
10 am to 6pm - Yabun Festival - An awesome day of indigenous music at Victoria Park, Broadway [next to Sydney University]
The Rocks
9am to 11am - The 10km Oz Classic Wheelchair Race. As the highest profile wheelchair-sporting event in Australia, the race attracts the finest wheelchair athletes from across the globe.
11.30am to 8.30pm - All day music across 4 stages, a karoke competition, BBQ, DJ's, The Rocks Market and more.

Sydney Harbour
The Great Australia Day Ferry Races
11am – 2pm Sydney Harbour .The race starts at Fort Denison and finishes at the Harbour Bridge. Other entertainment includes airforce & navy stunts.
Darling Harbour
11.30am - All day world music at Tumberlong Park, Chinese Garden, and Harbourside. Check out the program here
7pm-9pm Fireworks and sound and light show.
Hyde Park North
10am – 7pm - From whip cracking, cooking demonstrations and Australian country music to a a flash mob.
Motorfest - Classic Car Show
All day - Macquarie, College & Bent Streets . more than 1, 000 classic cars on show.
Museums and Galleries - Free entry
Sample Sydney offers free or reduced price entry to all the main museums and some great smaller ones.
Pirrama Park & Johnstons Bay Pyrmont
3pm-9pm - Sydney Ports present Jazz on the Water which will feature, Jazz, Funk and Salsa.
So no school on Thursday but lots to do!
