Location is everything, a mix of shade, sun, water bbq's and open sky (and of course friends!) is the perfect recipe for a great picnic. Plastiki!

What is Plastiki you say? It is a boat made out of 12,000 recycled plastic bottles. Yes that’s right, an actual boat on water. It is life size and it is has just made its maiden voyage from San Francisco to Sydney. And you can see it right now!

You'll be able to visit the Plastiki at Darling Harbour by the Australian National Maritime Museum up until August the 25th 2010.

The aim of the creation of the vessel is to highlight the waste and pollution of the world and how much of an impact it is having on our planet.
