What our Students Say |
Ingrid, GermanyBeing an au pair is hard work but it is a good experience if you like children. I lived with a perfect family in a great location. I looked after 2 boys, who are aged 5 and 6. I enjoyed living in Sydney, especially going to beaches, visiting the Royal Botanic Gardens and the great food. I am returning to Germany to start an apprenticeship with BMW where I will be trained in administration. | ![]() |
Amelie, FranceDay after day, my English improved. Without a doubt it was because I was an Au Pair. I went to the College every morning and then worked for the family between 3pm and 7pm.

Andrea, GermanyI combined my General English course with Au Pair so I could work while I studied. I really liked my au pair family, they included me in lots of their activities, even a skiing trip. My listening and conversation skills have improved thanks to my course and au pair placement, and my confidence in speaking English has also increased. |

Nadine, GermanyI chose to study at Universal English College (GV Sydney) because I decided I needed to get more confident in speaking English. I am doing the Au Pair program and feel very lucky to have such a wonderful family who have made me feel welcome and like a part of the family. I get plenty of time to myself as well and so can explore Sydney with the new friends I have made, and still practice my English. We are all learning and even though I had good reading and writing I really needed to improve my speaking. Studying at UEC has really helped me to become more confident. | ![]() |
