The exam tests abilty at 4 skills, reading, listening, writing and speaking and is availabe at two levels Academic and General Training. IELTS Academic - This test is used for admission to university and other tertiary courses in Australia. IELTS General Training - This test is used for entry to high school and for application for permanent residency.
