To study in Australia, you will need to apply for a visa. There are three possible options:

  • A Student Visa is required if you wish to study for more than 12 weeks.
  • You must be a full-time student, and health insurance (OSHC) is compulsory.
  • This visa allows you to apply for work rights, which, if granted, enable you to be employed for 20 hours a week.
(For intending students from some countries, a Pre-visa Assessment is required before a Student Visa can be issued. Also, applicants from most countries are required to undergo a health examination.
Enquire at the
Australian Embassy for details.)

Tourist Visa

This visa is issued for up to 6 months and allows you to study for a maximum of 12 weeks.

Working Holiday Visa

This visa is available to 18-30 year olds from some countries. It is issued for a year and allows you to study for a maximum of 17 weeks.
