The Oz Explorer surf trip was a huge success

Surf's Up

This month's Oz Explorer trip was to the glorious Seal Rocks - about 3 1/2 hours drive north of Sydney. The weekend included 2 full days of surf lessons, attentive Aussie surfers, 2 fun party nights with our students from  many different parts of the world and great accommodation.

We couldn't have asked for a better time with almost all the students scoring the trip 10 out of 10!

Check the gallery for more great images.

Aussie Culture Weekend

One of Oz Explorer's most popular trips this weekend saw us head to beautiful Bateman's Bay for 2 days of good food, great company and a variety of activities exploring Aboriginal culture and life in early Australia at Old Mogo Town.

We started the weekend with Australian bush dancing lessons and a party, which was a great way for us all to get to know each other. Saturday was action packed with a tour of the gold rush village and gold panning lessons in the morning and an afternoon of Aboriginal culture that included a "bush tucker" tour, boomerang and didgeridoo lessons. We ended the day with a huge BBQ and some dreamtime stories from our Aboriginal guide.

On the way back to Sydney we stopped off for a morning walk along Hyam's beach, famous for having the whitest sand in the world. Our final stop was lunch at Kiama and a visit to the blowhole. Visit the photo gallery to see some great images from this trip.
